Ever since she hit the scene Janelle Monae has been a favorite of mine because of her personality and the way it comes thru in her music. The Grammy nominated afropunk/rock /soul singer has a style & voice powerful enough to stand out among the commercial crowd, while garnering raves from critics. The flair she has to offer in her live shows has landed her a slot in Raphael Saadiq's upcoming 20 city tour from Nov 16th - Dec 16th. "Saadiq’s brand of R&B is part dance, part philosophical, part feel good, and all pure energy"... Monae fits that bill perfectly. Her new single Come Alive is just another example of her musical prowess that is being showcased by The Kia Soul Collective via their new marketing campaign. This track is so wondaful! I've been waiting for Janelle to come out with some new music. So, if this is just a taste of the new album, I'm soooo ready to hear it!!
Finally some new music from Janelle! I heart this song. I definitely cant wait for the new album in 2010.
