Late Pass #14: Albin Janoska - All I Wanna Do feat Kelli Sae
So there I was, laying in bed, trying to find a music channel to drift off to sleep to and the remote summons VH1 Soul. I hear a band and a female vocalist that sounds like Brand New Heavies, but as an avid fan I know it's not them. Or is it? I immediately sit up and focus and determine that the people on the video aren't BNH, and my interest is tremendously peaked.It's Albim Janoska feat Kelli Sae (a slept on vocalist) from his 2007 album Le Grand Baheux. It contains a trippy piano riff and Kelli Sae is breathlessly singing while the band jams along. I only have 1 four letter word for this track, DOPE! I am feeling this song a lot. It sorta puts me in the mind (musically) of one of MY favorite bands JAMIROQUAI. I love happy, snappy dance music like this!!! Good lookin' out to your late night surfin'.
