Stonephace - Wedgehead Gets Lucky

I just got my Stonephace album in the mail a few days ago. I've finally had the chance to listen and the first track, Wedgehead Gets Lucky, immediately brings to mind what an encounter between Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Buckshot Lefonque (Branford Marsalis + DJ Premier) would sound like. I encourage you to go to their website where they describe their sound as "progressive hip hop -Sun Ra, Miles Davis, Aphex Twin and early Floyd mixed by Jay Dee", watch the video for Wedgehead Gets Lucky and pick up their album!

Nice one..I remember hearing a track on one of GP's shows and wrote them down on my "list"..Its refreshing to hear how hip hop production continues to evolve while reaching back to the past (via live instrumentation).

Got this over the weekend, surprised to see it crop up here, thought i'd found some little known english secret squirrel ish.

they're out of range, just when DJs were turning into live bands and ditching sampling, along comes this game-changing nugget.
