Dah Dikka Dah - Dikka Dikka Da Dah 2008
Smirnoff is remixing three classic hip-hop songs for its Smirnoff Signature Mix Series, one of which is Common's "The Light" from his 2000 album, "Like Water for Chocolate." I would hardly consider "The Light," to be classic, but a Just Blaze remix would sound nice, right? I'll let you be the judge. Ummmmmm *looking around*, I guess! Like Dilla's version better. Hot sample though and nice touch-up on the lyrics by Common. Marsha's voice is always nice on anything!
My love for the Floetic Songstress' sound would make me a lover of this song. I'm always interested in hearing remixes so this was a welcome listen. It's a feel good mellow love groove... *it's Love, it's Love everytime I think about your smile*
