Wax Poetics Sundays @ Charlemagne is back again this Sunday, April 19th with featured deejays, JayTeeDee, DJ Rahdu (soon to become regulars :), and Don Johnson, Jubal John and Junior Star. Hosted by Jimmy and the good folks at Charlemagne Records. Shout out to the good people who came out last month and JayTeeDee for jumping on board. Be sure to come up and grab Issue No 34 The Jazz Issue, indeed a classic. Btw, if you are in or around the Birmingham area, be sure to check out the Birmingham Record Collector's Show at The Bessemer Civic Center, (exit 108 off of I-59) on Friday, April 17, 4pm-9pm (early birds @ 2pm $10 admission), and Saturday 9am-5pm ($3 admission). Be sure to stop by Carlos' (Latin Soul Productions) booth on Friday only-he's got mad joints and knows pretty much every record at his booth.. look for the dude with the Kangol and NY accent lol.. Oh, and they do have cds and memorabilia at the show too.
