...::Sounds Dope::..

K-Salaam & Beatnick are the cats that remixed the Common joints for the S.T.O.R.Y. project. On that album, they played all of the instruments (no samples), so when you hear this you're going to bug out. Check them out on their myspace page.

While you're there, make sure you cop their project, NY is Burning. It's full of remixes and exclusives with some of your favorite artists

HandsSolo is a DJ from Switzerland. Switzerland y'all! He's just dropped a 2 1/2hr Classic NY Hip Hop mix named Bring It Back That Ol' NY Rap. I found myself rhyming out loud more than once to this (and there was some hooping and hollering...and clapping...and hands in the air). Here's a snippet of the tracklisting, 95 joints in all:

1. Grand Puba - What Goes Around
2. Diamond D - Sally Got A One Track Mind
3. Main Source - Looking At The Front Door
4. Main Source - Fakin The Funk
5. L.O.N.S. - Case Of PTA
6. LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out
7. Show & Ag - Party Groove
8. Lords Of The Underground - Chief Rocka
9. Lord Finesse - Return Of The Funky Man
10. Gangstarr - Just To Get A Rep

DJ dviousmindZ returns with the 4th installment in his "Beats I Would've Gave..." series. Previous installments were for Mos Def, Nas and Lupe. I'll be honest I havent listened to this one yet, but his track record is solid. Someone should release a "Rhymes I Would've Gave Common" album. (yeah, yeah I know) Get it HERE, the beats not the rhymes, lol.
